British Esports has appointed Lewis Kay, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Esports Youth Club and former Ukie, to its Advisory Board.
Kay has significant experience in youth engagement and grassroots esports. Alongside his role at Esports Youth Club — a community initiative focused on creating safe, inclusive gaming environments for young people — he previously served as Programme Support Officer at Ukie, the UK’s games industry trade body.
His background makes him a strong addition to the British Esports’ advisory panel, which supports the organisation’s proposition to foster talent and grow the UK esports ecosystem from the ground up.
“Lewis brings a wealth of experience in youth development and industry insight,” British Esports explained in a LinkedIn post. “His understanding of youth engagement and the broader interactive entertainment landscape will be invaluable as we continue our mission to promote, improve and inspire the next generation of esports talent.”
British Esports, established to support grassroots esports and deliver educational opportunities, has continued to expand its network of advisors to reflect the growing complexity and reach of the UK’s esports industry. The Board includes the likes of Fighting Games player Ryan Hart, Swipe Right PR founder Kirsty Endfield, and Dignitas/London Royal Ravens founder Michael O’Dell, among many other veterans of the UK esports scene.
