Business-to-business (B2B) esports content provider Drafted.gg has achieved the Esports Integrity Commission’s (ESIC) Gold Standard of accreditation.
The accreditation from the Commission underlines the provider’s commitment to integrity within its esports betting products.
According to a release, the Gold Standard ‘represents one of the highest bars in esports betting.’ To earn such high accreditation, ESIC performed an audit evaluating a variety of areas ranging from security measures to compliance with its integrity programme.
As a result of the audit, Drafted.gg’s products align with ESIC’s stringent set of ethical conduct and operational integrity regulations that prevent any kind of wrongdoing from taking place.
Drafted.gg operates a range of esports tournaments across several titles including EA Sports FC, Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, and eCricket. These tournaments take place on a 24/7 basis and feature players from across the world. Through a partnership with esports odds provider Oddin.gg, the tournament streams are offered to bookmakers offering odds on the in-game action.
The company becomes the second to achieve the Gold Standard accreditation, joining SIS Competitive Gaming as the second esports betting event supplier to fulfil the criteria.
Esports betting continues to attract a variety of stakeholders into the esports industry. In February, BETBY unveiled a partnership with Asian gaming supplier SABA Sports to provide its esports offering to the supplier to offer a range of 24/7 betting content. In addition to human players, BETBY.Games also have AI bots competing across virtual basketball, football, and tennis.
“Drafted.gg joins an elite circle of esports organisations that meet the exceptionally high bar of ESIC Gold Standard compliance,” said Ian Smith, ESIC Commissioner. “Their rigorous approach to operational integrity meets the benchmark for best practices in esports. We welcome them into the ESIC Gold Standard for Betting Products category.”
