ESL FACEIT Group has announced that Embark Studios will host the first-ever major tournament for their free-to-play first-person shooter, THE FINALS, during DreamHack Stockholm 2025. The event is scheduled to take place from 28 to 30 November 2025 in Stockholm, Sweden.
The tournament will feature 16 teams from North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and the Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions, competing for a share of a $100,000 prize pool. This marks a significant milestone for THE FINALS, which has rapidly gained popularity in the competitive FPS scene.
Developed by Stockholm-based Embark Studios, THE FINALS was released in 7 December, 2023. In a LinkedIn post, ESL pointed reasons for the game inclusion besides being developed at the event’s host city: THE FINALS achieved notable success shortly after its launch, surpassing 10 million players within its first two weeks and reaching a peak of 242,619 concurrent players on Steam on 10 December 2023.
The title is highlighted for its dynamic, destructible environments and team-based gameplay, set within a virtual game show format.
