Gaming chair manufacturer DXRacer has signed retired Counter Strike star Kenny “kennyS” Schrub as its new global brand ambassador, continuing a long-standing relationship between the two.

The deal sees Schrub return to a brand he previously worked with during his time at Team EnVyUs (now just Envy), one of the most successful organisations in CS:GO’s early years. He joins DXRacer in a post-competitive capacity, having retired from professional Counter-Strike in 2023 following a final stint with Team Falcons.

Since stepping away from competition, Schrub has built a growing audience as a content creator on Twitch and YouTube, while continuing to appear at major Counter-Strike events.

DXRacer’s partnership with Schrub coincides with the launch of the Martian-Pro Series Electric Gaming Chair, a high-end model featuring motorised reclining, ventilation and heating, a massage function, and battery-powered operation.

The chair is prominently featured in promotional material starring Schrub and is part of DXRacer’s ongoing effort to remain visible in an increasingly saturated gaming furniture market. The company was one of the earliest to introduce racing-style gaming chairs in the 2010s, but now competes with a number of others.

For DXRacer, the appointment of Schrub is one of its most visible marketing moves in recent years, as it looks to reconnect with a core Counter Strike audience through personalities still active in the scene, even after their playing careers have ended.

KennyS is the first person to ever become a global brand ambassador for DXRacer, as his content career continues to thrive in his post-playing life.
