Craig Levine, a driving force behind the growth of ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) , is stepping down as co-CEO after more than 20 years of leadership. Levine will remain in an advisory role through the end of 2025 to support a seamless transition, while Niccolo Maisto stays on as CEO.

During his tenure, Levine played a pivotal role in shaping EFG, one of the leading brands in esports, helping steer strategic decisions that positioned the group as a global powerhouse.

Taking the reins as sole CEO is Niccolo Maisto, co-founder of FACEIT and co-CEO of ESL FACEIT Group since the 2022 merger. With a background in esports, tech, and finance, Maisto adds invaluable experience to the team.

The company reiterated its commitment to becoming the world’s leading esports organisation, with Maisto at the helm to drive long-term strategy and innovation.

Levine’s departure marks the end of an era but signals renewed focus under Maisto’s leadership as EFG navigates a rapidly evolving competitive gaming landscape.
