Connectivity optimisation platform ExitLag is doubling down on esports as a key pillar in its strategy to connect with Brazilian gamers. The company recently launched ExitLag Champs, a three-month grassroots tournament circuit spanning multiple titles. The initiative represents ExitLag’s most structured push to date into the competitive gaming space in Brazil.

The ExitLag Champs project featured weekly online tournaments across a variety of popular games, including League of Legends, Rainbow Six Siege, Valorant, Marvel Rivals, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Fortnite and Counter-Strike 2 (CS2). All tournaments are open to players from across Brazil, free of charge, and hosted on the ChallengerMode platform.

To The Esports Radar, ExitLag CEO Lucas Stolze, spoke about how the initiative reflects a long-term effort to strengthen the company’s presence within the Brazilian gaming ecosystem.

“ExitLag Champs is a brand initiative created for the community. Over the years, we’ve organised occasional tournaments to engage the gaming audience, but this year we took a bold step by launching a three-month circuit featuring multiple titles, cash prizes, and unique experiences,” said Stolze.

For leveraging the reach of its activations, ExitLag heavily counts on its sponsored team, paiN Gaming, one of the most popular esports organisations in Brazil. Collaborations include in-person coaching and training experiences with some of the organisation’s top talent, including players Rodrigo “biguzera” Bittencourt, João “snow” Vinicius,  and Lucas “nqz” Soares from CS2, and Gabriel “Kami” Bohm, Matheus “dyNquedo” Rossini and Alexandre “TitaN” Lima from League of Legends.

“We will continue to explore and develop ways to support the gaming scene in Brazil, aiming to be more than just a product for players, but a brand that delivers meaningful action,” concluded Stoltz.

In a press release, Sharis Endres, CCO at paiN Gaming, highlighted the importance of the initiative in building community ties: “This event gives fans the chance not just to compete, but also to learn directly from some of Brazil’s most iconic athletes and streamers. It’s a meaningful way to foster esports development and strengthen the ExitLag – paiN partnership.”

With Brazilian roots, the company holds a record of sponsoring teams in the country plus esports media outlets like the local League of Legends-focused portal Mais Esports. Through ExitLag Champs, the company aims to continue cement its brand in the local market by offering access and opportunity within the broader gaming culture.

However, the brand also holds a global presence in over 190 countries and more than 1,000 servers, positioning itself as a tool for gamers seeking low-latency and stable online play. Regarding esports partnerships, ExitLag makes itself present in Southeast Asia as a sponsor of Talon Esports, and in North America through Riot Games’ collegiate project, UNIVERSITY Esports NA.
