Ferrari has officially kicked off the 2025 edition of its HP Esports Series, opening with the return of its Global Hot Laps stage, an international time trial competition set to determine the grid for the Grand Finals – and, potentially, a spot on the Scuderia Ferrari HP Esports Team.
The Global Hot Laps started on June 2 and runs for six weeks, challenging sim racers across a rotating mix of platforms and circuits. Competitors will race on Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, and iRacing, with weekly events at tracks including Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Mugello, and Misano.
The opening round begins on Assetto Corsa with hot laps at Silverstone, running until June 8. Each week thereafter brings a new test of adaptability, precision, and speed. The top 10 finishers in each weekly event secure automatic spots in the Regional Finals, while those placing 11th to 30th earn a second chance via the Regional Qualifiers.
This is the full Global Hot Laps schedule:
- June 2-8: Assetto Corsa (Silverstone)
- June 9-15: Assetto Corsa Competizione (Brands Hatch)
- June 16-22: iRacing (Okayama)
- June 23-26: Assetto Corsa (Mugello)
- June 30-July 6: Assetto Corsa Competizione (Misano)
- July 7-13: iRacing (Virginia International Speedway)
Last year’s Ferrari Esports Series drew 17,000 participants, culminating in a live Grand Final at Ferrari World, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, with 15 finalists from 10 countries. For 2025, Ferrari is aiming to surpass that milestone with more international participation and an even more demanding format.
The series also offeres the possibility of a professional future. The ultimate winner will be assessed for potential recruitment into the Scuderia Ferrari HP Esports Team. There are currently 14 drivers on the team, spanning across different tournaments.
