Friendly Fire, an international gaming cafe franchise, has announced a significant expansion across Europe, with plans to open more than 100 new locations in the United Kingdom, Spain, Poland, and Ukraine over the next few years. This development follows the signing of four Master Franchise agreements, marking a substantial growth phase for the company.
The expansion involves a multi-million dollar investment from partners who are experienced multi-unit operators, including those with backgrounds in managing franchises such as Domino’s Pizza. The first of these new gaming cafes are expected to open within the next three months.
Friendly Fire’s franchise model emphasizes creating social gaming spaces that foster community engagement. The company provides technical support and proprietary software to its franchisees, aiming to streamline operations and enhance the gaming experience for customers.
This move aligns with Friendly Fire’s broader goal of establishing itself as a leading provider of social gaming venues globally. The company envisions becoming a prominent destination for gamers seeking communal and interactive gaming environments. As the company’s Founder David Kosir says himself, the aim is to become “the McDonald’s of gaming.”
The company has previously expanded into other regions, including Portugal, where plans were announced to open 10 new gaming cafes over five years, starting in early 2025 in Lisbon.
