GRID has confirmed the return of its Champion of Champions Tour (CCT) Dota 2 circuit for a second season, featuring a total prize pool of $400,000 and a notable expansion into South America. Scheduled to begin on 9 June 2025 and run through to April 2026, CCT DOTA Season 2 will comprise 12 events across Europe and South America, offering a streamlined format and enhanced competitive structure aimed at providing a clear pathway for emerging teams.

Building on the foundations of its inaugural season, CCT DOTA positions itself as a gateway for aspiring professional teams looking to establish themselves on the global Dota 2 stage. The upcoming season will include eight events in Europe, each offering a $40,000 prize pool, and four events in South America, each awarding $20,000. According to official communications, the South American expansion will focus particularly on the well-established Peruvian Dota 2 scene and neighbouring countries, with events in the region beginning in October 2025. The initiative aims to support the development of a sustainable competitive circuit in the region and unite leading teams through a series of structured tournaments.

“CCT DOTA was built with a clear mission: To give structure and opportunities to teams and talent determined to level up to the global stage. And with every season, we’re committed to delivering on this goal. We’ve seen rising stars break through, passionate communities rally behind underdogs, and storylines created that otherwise would have gone unnoticed. For Season 2, we’ve listened to community feedback, coming back with a tighter format in EU and opening the doors to South America,” stated Fabian Logemann, Head of Tournament Operations at GRID.

Prize distribution per event in Europe will award $25,000 to the winner, followed by $8,000 for second place, $5,000 for third, and $2,000 for fourth. In South America, the winning team will receive $12,500, with subsequent prizes of $4,000, $2,500, and $1,000.

The season will once again be operated by GAM3RS_X, GRID’s long-time production and tournament partner. The company has worked with GRID for over five years and is tasked with ensuring the integrity and quality of the tournament experience throughout the season. Adrian Błaszczyk, Senior Gaming Project Manager at GAM3RS_X, emphasised the importance of the circuit in supporting emerging teams, stating, “What makes it so special is how it creates real opportunities for Tier 2 teams to grow by competing against international opponents. It’s more than just a tournament—it’s a platform that helps elevate the next generation of Dota talent, and we’re proud to be part of that journey.”

Further information, including the full event calendar and detailed format breakdown, is expected to be released later this month via the official website at cctour.gg.
