LunaTone Inc., a Tokyo-based company specialising in business across gaming and esports, has announced a partnership with South Korean esports organisation T1, granting the company exclusive rights to distribute T1’s official merchandise within the Japanese market.
Under the terms of the deal, LunaTone will act as T1’s official Japanese distributor, marking the first time that T1 merchandise will be available through authorised channels in Japan, according to the official press release. The company plans to launch sales via online platforms, pop-up stores, and collaborative initiatives, with additional details regarding product offerings, distribution channels, and launch dates to be announced in due course.
Founded in 2004, T1 is regarded as one of the leading esports organisations globally. The team has achieved five World Championship titles in League of Legends and has become widely known through the prominence of player Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, who is often described as a legendary figure in the esports industry. More recently, T1 secured the top position at VCT Masters Bangkok 2025 in VALORANT, becoming world champions in both Riot Games’ competitive titles.
LunaTone positions itself as a bridge across sectors through strategic planning, content development, talent cultivation, and education programmes. The company works with a broad range of domestic and international partners, including governments, educational institutions, and private enterprises.
