European esports organisation OG Esports has announced its expansion into Honor of Kings (HoK) esports.

As part of the expansion, the organisation has become a partner for Western Europe in addition to fielding a roster in the Kings Major West League (KMW).

OG Esports has yet to reveal a roster to represent the organisation during the 2025 season. According to the Honor of Kings rulebook, teams must field rosters with at least four players residing in Europe, with two from the country the organisation is representing. In addition, it is allowed to field one player from outside the region.

Founded in 2015, OG Esports is a staple of European esports. Known for winning Dota 2’s The International in 2018 and 2019, the organisation also fields rosters in Counter-Strike 2 and Rocket League.

Information on the inaugural KMW season has yet to be revealed by Level Infinite, a game developer and publisher owned by Chinese technology company Tencent. One team will qualify for the competition through the Spring Qualifier which begins on March 16th, 2025.

Other teams participating in the league include the winners of the Open Series for Western Europe and the Open Series for Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

Honor of Kings esports is one circuit that’s experiencing significant growth and investment in 2025. In October 2024, Level Infinite unveiled the esports roadmap for the game’s ecosystem, announcing a $15m investment into launching leagues in six regions.

In addition to the KMW, Honor of Kings esports will operate leagues in the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and East Asia. The leagues will join existing competitions operating in China and Brazil.

Outside of its leagues, Honor of Kings is one of several esports titles confirmed to host a tournament at the 2025 edition of the Esports World Cup, a multi-title event operated by the Esports World Cup Foundation. In March 2024, the tournament organiser partnered with Level Infinite with the aim of growing the Honor of Kings ecosystem across the world.
