Now former Chief Business Development Officer at Challengermode, Philip Hübner has announced his departure from the esports platform after more than seven years with the company. Hübner revealed via LinkedIn he is now joining creator platform and agency Wehype also as its CBDO, while remaining connected to Challengermode in an advisory capacity.

Reflecting on his time at the company, Hübner described the experience as a “privilege” and expressed gratitude towards the team and leadership. He specifically thanked Challengermode CEO Robel Efrem and Co-Founder Philip Skogsberg, as well as Patrik Jackiewicz and Viktor Erlandsson, whom he praised as “dedicated and dependable teammates.”

Challengermode, headquartered in Sweden, provides an esports platform designed to help players and organisers manage competitive gaming events and tournaments across various titles.

Following his exit, Hübner starts at influencer marketing firm Wehype, where he will be involved in developing gaming creator collaborations. In the announcement, he shared his enthusiasm for returning to the creator-focused segment of the industry and expressed appreciation for the opportunity to work with CEO Robin Åström.
