Riot Games and smartphone manufacturer OnePlus have unveiled the first-ever official Valorant Mobile tournament in China, as part of a newly announced strategic partnership between the two companies.
The announcement was made during a OnePlus launch event by Jin Yibo, CEO of Teng Jing Sports (TJ Sports), alongside Tencent’s Head of Domestic Distribution and Esports Operations for Valorant Mobile. As part of the partnership, the OnePlus Ace 5 Supreme will serve as the official device for the tournament.
While exact dates have not been confirmed, Riot Games stated the competition will take place in the second half of 2025 and will be the “first mass event” for Valorant Mobile. The partnership covers tournament operations, marketing, and product integration to support the game’s competitive debut.
In addition to the tournament, the OnePlus Ace 5 Supreme will be used for a series of upcoming activations. This includes an offline demo in Shanghai scheduled for June, and a pre-release open event for Valorant Mobile planned for July in Qingdao.
“Valorant Mobile is committed to creating a creative competitive stage, allowing players to fully demonstrate smooth operations and precise shooting,” the official announcement stated. “This kind of combat experience has strict requirements on the performance of mobile devices. OnePlus’s unremitting pursuit of performance tuning and gaming experience is perfectly in line with the concept of Valorant Mobile.”
Valorant Mobile is currently available for pre-registration in China only, with its next closed beta beginning on June 12. A global release date has yet to be confirmed.
