The 2025 LCK season Rounds 1-2 has been defined by one fierce rivalry on the Rift, with T1 and Gen.G once again proving to be South Korea’s most popular teams, drawing huge viewership numbers for Korean League of Legends.
In the Spring Split, Gen.G set their own records by achieving the perfect 18-0 split, becoming the first team to do so since T1 did it in 2022.
According to data from Esports Charts, T1 vs Gen.G in Week 1, Day 5 drew a staggering 1,577,919 peak viewers, making it the most-watched match of the season so far. Their second clash in Week 7, Day 5 was close behind, pulling in 1,370,583 peak viewers. These numbers comfortably outpaced every other match in the split, highlighting just how much draw the teams have.
T1 also featured in the third most-watched match of the split, a Week 9 clash against Hanwha Life Esports, which reached 1,189,859 peak viewers. But it’s the T1-Gen.G matchups that continue to set the standard for audience interest—not just in the LCK, but in competitive League of Legends worldwide.

T1, led by the iconic Faker, remains one of the most popular esports teams globally, while Gen.G has built a modern dynasty with multiple LCK titles and a new generation of stars..
As the season progresses toward playoffs and Worlds qualification, all eyes will remain on when T1 and Gen.G meet again. For now, their dominance in viewership is as pronounced as their performance in the standings.
