Swiss esports organization Team BDS today revealed a series of major strategic developments, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the team.
At the forefront is the appointment of Alexandre Lopez as Chief Executive Officer. Lopez, a key figure at the organization since 2020 and the architect of its competitive success, will now lead Team BDS’s transformation with a renewed vision. “This appointment is a unique opportunity,” said Lopez, who was previously a director and board member at the company. “The organization has established itself as a central force in European esports, and I’m honored to help write the next chapter of this journey, with passion and purpose, both in sport and in society.”
In addition, Team BDS is working on a large-scale rebranding, set to be revealed in the coming months, according to their statement. This project reflects the club’s desire to reinvent itself and adopt a brand identity that better aligns with its current spirit and future ambitions. “We want to build a brand that reflects who we are: bold, ambitious, and deeply human. This rebranding will showcase our evolution, our energy, and our desire to unite people beyond the competitive scene,” Lopez explained.
By the end of 2025, the organization plans to open a new headquarters and state-of-the-art gaming house in the heart of Geneva. This facility will host a hybrid workspace for technical, competitive, and creative teams, further strengthening the club’s local roots.
Team BDS also announced the launch of a nonprofit initiative dedicated to promoting video games and esports among youth, particularly in hospitals and underprivileged communities. This initiative forms a cornerstone of the club’s broader corporate social responsibility strategy. “Gaming has a unique power to bring people together, to inspire dreams, to educate, and to create bonds. We want to harness that power to serve those who need it most,” Lopez said.
Through these bold steps, Team BDS affirms its commitment to go beyond traditional boundaries, enriching its mission beyond competition and playing an active role in society through lasting, concrete actions.
