Vietnam has been announced as the host for the League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) Finals Weekend, scheduled to take place in September 2025.
The LCP, which launched earlier this year, is a professional League of Legends league that merges competitive regions from Vietnam, Japan, Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau, and Oceania into a single Asia-Pacific competition. It replaces former PCS and LJL while integrating Vietnam and Oceania as part of Riot Games’ efforts to consolidate its regional esports ecosystems.
The event will conclude the league’s inaugural season, which has seen teams from the newly unified regions compete in a split format. Participating teams include regional representatives such as GAM Esports (Vietnam), DetonatioN FocusMe (Japan), CTBC Flying Oyster (Taiwan), and Chiefs Esports Club (Oceania).
Riot Games will be joined by Vietnamese communications company FPT on event production. Further details on the weekend were not disclosed. The video posted by the LCP only confirms the host city – Da Nang – but does not inform about venues, ticketing, or even exact dates.
