Sean Hyunil Sohn, KRAFTON India CEO, has officially announced the official BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) Esports Roadmap for 2026 on November 3, 2025, during the BGMI International Cup held in New Delhi.
The 2026 plan includes four main official tournaments, four open events for everyone, and the first-ever KRAFTON India Awards. It builds on the success of 2025, where the total prize money across events crossed ₹4 crore (around $475,000 USD). KRAFTON has said that the 2026 prize pool will be much larger, with seven LAN tournaments (including three new third-party ones) expected to have a combined prize pool of over $1.5 million USD.

During the event, Sean Hyunil Sohn said, “The 2026 Roadmap is more than a tournament calendar – it’s a structured pathway for Indian gamers to rise from grassroots to the global podium. We have designed it with an intent to further the ecosystem: one that identifies emerging talent at the regional level, nurtures them through national competition, and gives them a chance to represent India internationally.”
The CEO further unveiled that the new roadmap sets up a clear plan for players to grow from beginner levels to national and international stages. As a result, the four main official tournaments include BGIS 2026 (Battlegrounds Mobile India Series), BMPS 2026 (Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series), BMSD 2026 (Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown) and BMIC 2026 (Battlegrounds Mobile India International Cup).
These events will take place in several cities across India to make it easier for more players and fans to take part. Finally, the winner of the BMPS 2026 will represent India at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh in July 2026.
