OpTic Gaming has confirmed that Monster Energy will be the main sponsor of its upcoming FCV Black Ops 7 tournament.

The financial terms of the partnership were not made public. However, the Monster Energy branding will be heavily featured throughout the event as the two companies signed a partnership deal a few months ago.

This includes collaborative content, live-event activations, and integration of Monster Energy products into OpTic’s existing ecosystem. Sponsorships like this also often involve support for production, prize pools, and marketing, which helps tournaments reach a larger audience.

The latest announcement came with a new trailer featuring clips from several Call of Duty games, including fan favorite maps and scenes. The trailer also uses the phrase “True legacies never die, they just respawn” to highlight how long the Call of Duty competitive scene has been around.

The main FCV event will take place on November 28, 2025, and teams can qualify through four different online tournaments hosted on esports tournament platforms such as StartGG, CODAgent, Play Rivals Gaming, and Console King.

The first qualifier, called OpTic FCV presented by Monster Energy, is open to all teams. The top two teams from this qualifier will earn a spot in the $25,000 FCV Black Ops 7 tournament on November 28. All matches will be played on North American servers, and players must join the Click Gaming Discord to take part.

Outside of putting this tournament together, OpTic has also linked up with Barbasol, who is now their official shaving cream and razor partner for The Race, which is an annual live-streamed event where members of OpTic Gaming race to reach the highest level or “Master Prestige” in the newest Call of Duty game, such as Black Ops 7.
