The Esports World Cup Foundation has officially appointed Brian Krämer as Director of Product to lead the Esports Nations Cup (ENC).
Krämer shared the news on LinkedIn, in which he also revealed that over the past year, he had already been supporting EWCF and ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) in developing the concept for ENC while working as an associate partner at SPORTHEADS.
“It was clear that ENC is not only an ambitious project but has the true potential to shape the esports and entertainment industry forever,” he stated. Before joining EWCF, Krämer worked for more than 12 years at EFG, where he held several senior roles such as Game Ecosystems and Growth Titles Director. Besides SPORTHEADS, he also worked at SK Gaming, where he began his esports career.

Brian also explained that over the past four months, his team has secured all publishers and finalised tournament formats for 16 game titles that will be part of ENC. The Foundation has opened applications to find National Team Partners and Managers around the world who will help build teams for the competition. He highlighted the over 630 applications from 152 nations, saying this shows strong global interest in national team competitions in esports.
The first edition of ENC is set for November, with more than 100 nations expected to take part in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It features a $20 million prize pool, which will be paid directly to players and coaches, who’ll compete in major esports titles like Counter Strike 2, VALORANT, Apex Legends and more.
