Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) tournament Circuit X investor and owner Carlos Passow has issued an official statement clarifying his role within the organization and its operational independence from the GameHunters esports team. For those who don’t know, GameHunters is a part of the South American esports circuit that has also participated in qualifiers such as the ESL Challenger League Season 49.
According to Passow, Circuit X was created to support the CS2 community in Brazil and Latin America. He described his current involvement as limited to investment, ownership, and technical support, which means the tournament’s day-to-day operations are handled independently.

In an official statement, Passow explained that an administrator “is solely responsible for creating, structuring, and managing the competition independently, without any interference or influence from me.”
The clarification also addressed potential concerns about Passow’s connection to GameHunters, where he serves as team manager. He said the organization is owned and managed by his wife and highlighted that there is absolutely no favoritism or influence between the two entities.
While no major controversies have surfaced prior to this announcement, the esports community has always demanded more transparency in tournament organization, particularly when stakeholders have ties to competing teams, to ensure fairness as long as the event is underway.
