French esports organisation Karmine Corp has officially confirmed that its co-founder Amine Mekri, widely known as Prime, has decided to leave the company after selling all of his shares.
Karmine Corp was launched in late 2020 by Mekri and Kameto. At the time of its creation, the ownership structure was split with 55 percent held by Kameto and 45 percent by Mekri. Within the organisation, Mekri oversaw events and merchandising operations through his company, Prime Corp.
The financial details of the deal and the identity of the buyer have not been publicly disclosed. However, according to a report by RFT.GG, it is believed that the buyer is one of the investors who entered Karmine Corp’s capital during its October 2023 funding round and that the transaction covers an equity stake estimated at around 25 percent of the company.
It also mentions that the transaction was finalised over the past few days and involved the sale of Mekri’s entire stake to an existing shareholder. The report claimed that this deal could make it easier for Astralis to become a shareholder in Karmine Corp in a later step.
If this happens, it could help clear the club’s financial obligations linked to its place in the League of Legends European Championship, and would allow Karmine Corp to become the main owner of its league participation rights.

In a statement released by the organisation, Karmine Corp thanked Mekri for his “major contribution to the development of the structure since its creation” and wished him success in his future projects.
Mekri also addressed the community in a personal post on X, writing, “After 5 years of building Karmine Corp, I’ve made the decision to sell my shares and move on to something else. The project has grown tremendously, I’m proud of everything we’ve accomplished, but it’s the right time for me to turn the page. I wish the team and the community all the best for the future.”
At the same time, the club is also locking in some important commercial support ahead of next year. It has extended its long-term deal with Orange and confirmed Razer as a new official partner, as preparations continue for the 2026 season, where two teams are expected to compete in the League of Legends EMEA Championship.
