Levtech has been announced as the special sponsor for EVO Japan 2026, resulting in a continued partnership between the IT talent platform and the world’s most prestigious fighting game events.

As a part of the deal, the tournament will officially carry the title “EVO Japan 2026 presented by Levtech“.The collaboration was jointly announced by EVO Japan organisers and Levtech on April 3, 2026.

Levtech says fighting game events like EVO Japan have strong links to the IT and creative industries as many players, streamers, and organizers are also engineers or creators. Therefore, this sponsorship is meant to support both sides of this community, including the people who make games and those who play them.

This is not the first time the company has taken on a leading sponsorship position. Levtech also served as a top-tier sponsor for EVO Japan 2025, making this a consecutive-year commitment that points out its long-term alignment with the fighting game community.

EVO Japan is the Japanese edition of the Evolution Championship Series (EVO), which is known as the world’s largest fighting game tournament series. It brings together players, fans, and creators for several days of competition. Popular games featured at the event include Street Fighter, Tekken 8, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, among others.

Levtech, on the other hand, (also written as Levtech or レバテック) is an IT recruitment and staffing brand run by Leverages Co., Ltd., a Japanese company. According to the company, it focuses on closing the gap for IT talent in Japan’s market. Its main services support IT engineers, web and game creators, and freelancers.

The Levtech and EVO partnership is happening at a key moment since the fighting tournament is in a transition phase after being acquired in February 2026 by RTS, which is owned by Qiddiya City, following the purchase of the event’s stakes previously belonging to NODWIN Gaming.
