Publisher MOONTON Games, together with the Malaysia Esports Federation (MESF) and Esports Integrated, has announced the eight teams that will compete in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Malaysia, also known as MPL Malaysia, under a new long-term Partnership Programme.

According to the official details, the eight selected teams are Selangor Red Giants (SRG), Team Vamos (VMS), Team Rey (TR), Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ), Bigetron MY by VIT (BTRM), All Combo (AC), Invictus Gaming (iG) and Team Flash (TF). The teams include both Malaysian organisations and international teams and they will compete together as core partners of the league moving forward.

The announcement was headlined by Krystal Tan, Head of Business Development for Malaysia Esports at MOONTON Games, alongside Muhammad Naim Al Amin, President of MESF, and Ahmed Faris Amir, CEO of Esports Integrated, who together addressed members of the media at the MSN Esports Hub, Kuala Lumpur.

The firms further explained that the partnership programme indicates the growth of MPL Malaysia and the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports scene in the country. It aims to provide a stronger foundation for teams, players and partners to grow together, while opening up more opportunities in talent development, business collaboration and fan engagement.

Global Esports Industry Week (GEIW) will return in 2026 with a bigger and bolder edition, taking place across 18–21 June in Cologne, Germany, alongside IEM Cologne. The schedule and details about ticket sales are available in this link.

“The Partnership Programme is a pioneering move that goes beyond MPL Malaysia,” said Krystal Tan from MOONTON Games. “By bringing together local and international teams to compete on home soil, we are not just raising the competitive bar, but shaping a stronger league that places Malaysia firmly on the global esports map—one that inspires the next generation of players and that our fans can continue to be proud of. These eight teams were selected with the long-term growth of Malaysian esports at heart, and we are fully committed to making that vision a reality.”

Muhammad Naim Al Amin, President of MESF, said, “The establishment of the Partnership Programme is a significant milestone, not only for the league, but for the continued growth of esports in Malaysia. It speaks to our collective ambition to position Malaysia as a regional esports powerhouse, and MESF is fully committed to supporting that journey alongside MOONTON Games, as we work towards our national vision of building a sustainable esports ecosystem for generations to come. We congratulate the eight teams selected to be part of this next chapter and look forward to what lies ahead.”

Meanwhile, MOONTON Games is also making moves outside Malaysia. In Portugal, it has renewed its partnership with the Portuguese Esports Federation to further establish Mobile Legends: Bang Bang as a key title in the country’s esports scene. Over in Europe, the company has partnered with Romania based tournament organiser PGL to expand the MLBB ecosystem with the launch of the new PGL MLBB Challengers tournament.
