Esports organisation Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) has launched The Dojo 2.0, an upgraded version of its fan engagement platform, developed in partnership with web3 gaming company XBorg.

The relaunch introduces a more immersive and interactive experience for fans, with a roadmap leading to blockchain integration and the release of NIP’s fan token, $DOJO, which held its Fan Token Offering (FTO) on June 24 at 12:00 CET on the Chiliz Chain.

The Dojo 2.0 revamp introduces several major features aimed at deepening fan involvement and gamifying engagement.

Fans can now create and customise 3D avatars, equipping them with unlockable wearables that are earned through platform activity. These digital identities serve as a core component of the new experience, enabling access to exclusive areas and content.

The user interface has been overhauled to support a series of new gaming and social quests. These quests are designed to reward consistent engagement, giving users regular incentives to explore and interact within the platform.

A new in-app currency, Shuri, has been introduced and can be earned through participation. Shuri can be redeemed in a marketplace for exclusive digital items and fan rewards, adding a transactional layer to the experience.

Progression mechanics have also been added in the form of lootboxes and milestone-based perks, offering mystery rewards to users who reach certain levels of activity or achievement.

Finally, The Dojo 2.0 has been structured to support upcoming integration with the $DOJO token, which will unlock additional utilities and content following its launch.

The $DOJO token is positioned as a multi-functional asset, offering access to gated content, incentivising loyalty via on-chain rewards, and enabling new forms of fan interaction. The integration reflects a growing trend of blockchain-based fan platforms in esports.

Laura Rojas, Director of Innovation at Ninjas in Pyjamas, said: “The Dojo 2.0 isn’t just a redesign — it’s the first step in building a dynamic digital universe for our fans. We’re not just investing in tech — we’re investing in the community. The future of The Dojo is incredibly exciting: we’ll be launching a major activation at the Esports World Cup this summer, as well as introducing a first-of-its-kind travel assistant to support our most loyal fans in getting to Saudi Arabia seamlessly. This is just the beginning.”

The Dojo 2.0 is now live at dojo.nip.gl. A deeper look at the platform and the $DOJO launch will be featured on The Fireplace with XBorg on Tuesday, June 17.
