Riot Games has promoted Olga Sajkowski to Director of Insights, Ecosystem, a big next step in her five-year journey with the company.
In her new role, Olga’s focus expands beyond esports, as she’ll be digging into how players and fans experience Riot’s whole universe across all its games and communities. The Insights team at Riot is a mix of researchers, analysts, data scientists, consultants, and strategists who work to help Rioters make smarter, data-informed decisions.

In the announcement post, Olga stated, “After five years leading research for global esports at Riot, I’m excited to share that I’m stepping into a new role as Director – Insights, Ecosystem. This is not a goodbye to esports! If anything, it’s a continuation of the work our team has poured into understanding fandom and connection over the past five years, now expanded to include all the ways players experience Riot’s IP.”
Olga joined Riot back in 2020 and quickly made her mark in esports research. She started out working on global publishing insights before moving into the Global Esports division. Most recently, she was Senior Manager of Insights for Global Esports to guide strategy and analysis across Riot’s growing competitive scene.
With her new role, Olga’s set to play a leading part in how Riot keeps leveling up the player experience across all its games, ranging from League of Legends and VALORANT to Wild Rift and beyond. It’s a busy time for Riot with the company teaming up with the Saudi Esports Federation to grow grassroots esports and rolling out the League of Legends World Championship (Worlds) 2025.
