The Union Française des Clubs d’Esport Professionnels (UFCEP) has announced the selection of a new structure, co-founded by Bertrand Amar and Matthieu Dallon, as France’s representatives for the Esports Nations Cup 2026.

As per the official announcement, the French delegation will be led by Matthieu Péché, Olympic medalist and multiple world champion, whose role will be to help bring professional level support to esports players, focusing on preparation, performance and long term development.

Founded in early 2025, the UFCEP brings together the leading professional esports clubs in France, including Team Vitality, Karmine Corp, Gentle Mates, Solary and Team BDS. The association was created to bring together leading French clubs and represent their interests in talks with public authorities, tournament organisers, and game publishers.

Bertrand Amar is a well known French radio and television host who specialises in video games and esports. In 2012, he co founded Bang Bang Management, an agency that represents esports players, including former world champion Bruce Grannec. In 2016, he joined Webedia as head of esports.

Matthieu Dallon, on the other hand, is one of the long standing figures in French esports. He is the founder and president of Trust Esport, an investment fund dedicated to esports. The fund is supported by major French groups such as Fimalac, Groupe Amaury and FDJ.

In an official LinkedIn post, Matthieu Dallon said, “Very proud and eager to work with all French Esports Clubs (UFCEP) and with the support of the Présidence de la République of France for the upcoming Esports Nations Cup!”

The UFCEP also said it welcomed the public support expressed by the President of the Republic. According to the association, this support recognises the work done over the past year to better organise French professional esports and to represent both clubs and fans.
