Streaming platform SOOP has announced a partnership with Gen.G Esports to co-host the ‘2026 LCK Team Roadshow House of Gen.G – Homestand‘, a two-day esports event scheduled for July 31 to August 1 at Hall 5 of the KINTEX Exhibition Center 1 in Ilsan.
As part of the deal, SOOP will be involved across all aspects of the event, including planning, marketing, content production, live broadcasting, match management, and on-site operations. The platform will also host the finals of its streamer tournament, ‘LoL Myeongmyeongjeon with Gen.G,’ on August 1 as part of the programming.
The event will run under the concept of ‘House of Gen.G,’ framed around Gen.G’s brand direction of ‘Rivals and Friends’. The concept is designed to welcome not only Gen.G’s own fanbase but also opposing team supporters, streamers, and general esports enthusiasts into a shared space where competitive gameplay and fan culture converge.
A Homestand is a format in esports where a team creates and hosts its own dedicated venue to bring players and fans together under one roof for a more intimate, interactive match-day experience compared to a traditional tournament setting. The event will feature League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) matchups on both days, with Gen.G facing T1 on July 31 and Dplus Kia on August 1.
Attendees can expect on-site participatory content, fan meetings, and experiential programs intended to give fans access to players in a more casual, off-stage setting. Full program details and ticketing information are expected to be announced at a later date.
The Homestand builds on an existing streaming partnership between SOOP and Gen.G that runs through 2028. The streaming platform also recently announced its exclusive pro player programming lineup for June 2026 to maintain fan engagement during the LCK competitive off-season.
