Los Angeles-based esports team Sentinels partnered with food delivery service Uber Eats to host a fan watch party for the VCT Americas Stage 2 Finals at the team’s headquarters, known as SEN HQ.
The watch party let fans gather in person to view the final matches of the VALORANT Champions Tour Americas Stage 2, which were played live in São Paulo, Brazil. Teams competing included NRG, 100 Thieves, G2, and LOUD, all fighting for spots at the global Champions event in Shanghai.
At the watch party, Sentinels’ own VALORANT players joined the crowd to watch the games together. The entry tickets were sold through the official Sentinels online shop and as part of the deal, the lunch was provided by Uber Eats. The event ticket also included free Red Bull drinks and a choice of either one SEN Blackout mousepad or two sets of team photocards.
Sentinels CEO Rob Moore personally invited fans via social media, highlighting the free lunch courtesy of Uber Eats along with the other perks and a chance to meet players.
However, unlike many of Sentinels’ other partnership deals, including those with hardware giant SanDisk and peripheral brand Razer, this collaboration appears to have been a one-time activation focused on the finals rather than a long-term sponsorship deal.
The team’s official LinkedIn page later also described the event as a “huge in-office watch party delivered by Uber Eats,” noting that online viewers also received special offers and chances to win signed team merchandise during the stream.
Fan viewing events are becoming a bigger part of esports as esports organisations, tournament organisers and game publishers use these events to bring fans together in physical spaces and let them enjoy major competitions together.
For example, the Indian esports organisation S8UL announced a 12-city watch party tour last year for the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025. A few months ago, Riot Games also opened The Phoenix Arms, a temporary esports pub in Hackney Bridge, East London. The event was held during the finals of VALORANT Masters London to give fans a place to watch and enjoy the matches.
