The Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) will make its biggest step yet in live event scale, with Major 2 of the 2026 season set for Paris La Défense Arena from 20–24 May 2026. With a 25,000 capacity, Europe’s largest indoor venue will become the biggest stage in Rocket League’s history.

The announcement followed the Rocket League World Championship 2025 in Lyon, where the LDLC Arena drew nearly 10,000 fans per day. North American side NRG Esports claimed the title and $300,000 prize after defeating Team Falcons 4-1 in the Grand Final.

Beyond competition, the Lyon event reinforced esports’ economic weight. Alongside the Fortnite Global Championship, held in France the previous weekend, the two tournaments generated an estimated $50 million for the city, according to organiser BLAST. Fans from more than 26 countries travelled to attend.

RLCS organisers also used the Lyon stage to outline their 2026 calendar. The season begins with online Opens in November, followed by a new Kick-Off LAN studio event in Copenhagen in December. The first Major will take place in North America, with full details still pending, while the host city for the 2026 Rocket League World Championship will be revealed later.
