Japanese marketing and esports production company Playbrain has announced partnerships with gaming giant Razer, merch provider FUTAROKU, and esports media outlet TAIYORO to power the 2XKO JAPAN KNOCKOUT tournament. It’s Japan’s first-ever local tournament to be part of the global 2XKO program from Riot Games.
The event will kick off in Shibuya on November 23, and it will feature the top eight players and teams from online qualifiers to fight it out for the title of Japan’s best in 2XKO, Riot’s fast-paced tag team fighting game.

According to the official announcement, each partner is bringing something special to the table. Razer is powering up the setup with top-tier gaming gear, including the BlackShark V3 Pro headset and Iskur V2 gaming chair.
FUTAROKU, the Japanese gaming gear brand, will be running a booth with exclusive cheering towels and official merch that fans can grab only at the venue. Finally, TAIYORO will share exclusive news and stories from the 2XKO JAPAN KNOCKOUT tournament.
With 2XKO JAPAN KNOCKOUT joining Riot’s new First Impact program, which supports 22 community-organised tournaments around the world, Japan now stands alongside other major 2XKO events. The program has already expanded its reach internationally, with Frosty Faustings XVIII in the U.S. recently welcoming 2XKO as an official partner.
