Best Buy, the American multinational consumer electronics retailer, has officially announced the appointment of Dylan Jadeja, the chief executive officer of Riot Games, to its Board of Directors.

According to the official press release, Jadeja brings to Best Buy’s Board of Directors extensive knowledge and experience across strategy, finance, operations, digital and social content and, of course, the gaming industry.

Jadeja first joined Riot Games in 2011 as Chief Financial Officer. He later became President before becoming CEO. Before Riot Games, he worked at Goldman Sachs on the Consumer Retail Coverage team.

Jadeja has been CEO of Riot Games since July 2023. He has worked on the company’s leadership team for more than ten years. Founded in 2026, Riot Games is known for creating major esports titles including League of Legends and VALORANT.

Best Buy CEO Corie Barry said she is happy to welcome Jadeja. “Dylan’s expertise in consumer brands, digital commerce and serving passionate global player communities will bring critical enhancements to our Board,” Barry said. She added that she looks forward to his advice as Best Buy works to improve both online and in-store experiences for customers and create new ways to grow.

Jadeja said to be honored to join the company. “Best Buy’s evolution into a company that brings new technology to life in stores, online, and in-home is incredibly compelling,” he said. “I look forward to contributing to the team on that journey.”
