The Australian Esports League (AEL) has announced a major new partnership with HyperX, part of HP’s gaming ecosystem, along with Officeworks, Australia’s largest supplier of office and stationery products.
Through this partnership, HyperX will become the AEL’s exclusive supplier of gaming peripherals. This means AEL events and competitions will now use HyperX headsets, keyboards, mice, and other gear. Officeworks will also sell a wide range of HyperX products in-store and online to make it easier for gamers and families to access equipment.
AEL says the partnership has already made an impact at several major Australian gaming events in 2025. One of the biggest highlights has been the HyperX and Officeworks Sound Wall, featured at Oz Comic-Con Brisbane, Oz Comic-Con Sydney, and PAX Australia. These interactive zones let attendees try out HyperX headphones while playing Xbox games.
Darren Kwan, Managing Director of the Australian Esports League, said, “HyperX is recognised globally as one of the best in gaming peripherals, and having them power our tournaments has been a game-changer for the AEL and our players. From the Sound Wall at Oz Comic-Con to the tournament stage at PAX Aus, seeing our students compete using Cloud III headsets and Alloy Origins keyboards demonstrates the level of quality we strive for.”

Neil Westhof, Head of Personal Systems ANZ at HP, added, “This partnership with the Australian Esports League and Officeworks marks an exciting step forward in our commitment to supporting Australia’s vibrant gaming community. Through this partnership we’re making our award-winning HyperX peripherals more accessible than ever, empowering everyday gamers with the tools they need to play, compete, and thrive.”
The partnership isn’t limited to in-person events. AEL claims that online broadcasts have also improved due to HyperX microphones.
This announcement follows other major partnerships AEL secured earlier in the year. A few months ago, AEL confirmed it would continue working with Oz Comic-Con throughout 2025 to bring gaming activations and tournaments to every Oz Comic-Con event across Australia. In the same month, AEL also renewed its partnership with monitor brand AGON by AOC, continuing a collaboration that began in 2018.
