The finals of the CONMEBOL eLibertadores 2026 will take place on 2-3 May at the gamescom latam esports arena in São Paulo. As the premier EA FC Pro competition in Latin America, the tournament offers a prize pool exceeding $100,000 and two direct qualification spots for the EA FC Pro World Championship.

The competition is a major component of the broader 2026 FC Pro Circuit, which Electronic Arts recently confirmed features a combined prize pool of over $1,000,000 across its global league partner events.

The eLibertadores sits alongside elite domestic competitions such as the ePremier League, LALIGA FC Pro, and the Virtual Bundesliga in the FC Pro League Phase. This structured pathway allows regional organizations to reach new audiences while providing a technical route for players to qualify for global finals.

According to Monica Dinsmore, Head of Esports at Electronic Arts (EA), these collaborations are strategic for the convergence of football and gaming: “These collaborations highlight the real impact esports has in helping football brands reach new fans, and reinforces the credibility FC Pro has built with some of the most respected clubs and leagues in the world.”

The tournament format will see a group stage on 2 May, followed by a single-elimination playoff bracket on 3 May to crown the continental champion and determine the two South American representatives for the world stage.

Gustavo Steinberg, CEO of gamescom latam, emphasized that hosting the event connects the Latin American community with the peak of the global competitive scene.

The festival, which runs from 30 April to 3 May, will also feature the BIG Festival for independent developers and a dedicated B2B platform for industry networking. By anchoring the eLibertadores finals within this ecosystem, EA Sports and CONMEBOL, the governing body of football in South America, aim to maximize physical engagement.
