Berlin-based esports team Berlin International Gaming (BIG) has announced a new partnership with global payments company Paysafe. As part of the deal, Paysafe’s prepaid payment solution, PaysafeCard, will join BIG as a Premium Sponsor and official Payment Partner.
The partnership will cover BIG’s teams in Fortnite, Counter-Strike 2, and Trackmania. PaysafeCard branding will appear on team jerseys, and both sides will also work together on fan-focused campaigns and activities.
Apart from this, PaysafeCard will also be used as a payment option in the official BIG online shop. This will allow fans to make purchases using PaysafeCard.
Daniel Finkler, CEO of BIG, said in an official statement, “PaysafeCard shares our commitment to innovation, global growth, and deep roots within the gaming community. Having a globally leading payment provider step into esports is a strong statement. Together, we want to go beyond visibility and create real value for our fans, whether through seamless and secure payment solutions or engaging campaigns built around our teams. We thank PaysafeCard for their trust and partnership, as well as Sportive for their strategic guidance and for bringing this collaboration to life. We’re excited for what lies ahead.”
Alisa Barber, Chief Marketing Officer at Paysafe, said, “Gaming and esports have long been part of PaysafeCard’s DNA, and partnering with BIG is a natural extension of how we support the video gaming community. This partnership is about lifting the experience of fans, bringing them closer to the teams and moments they care about, whether that’s supporting their favourite players, unlocking rewards, or feeling more connected to the esports culture they love. Together with BIG, we’re focused on creating experiences that feel seamless, rewarding and built around how gaming fans want to engage.”
BIG’s CEO said the partnership comes after nearly two years of discussions and earlier collaboration during a winter campaign.
BIG has been stacking up sponsors and partnerships nonstop, particularly over the last year. Some standout ones include teaming up with MERKUR Group, partnering with LevlUp, expanding their deal with Acer Predator, and renewing key agreements with BWI GmbH and SkinBaron.
