Toronto based esports and entertainment company OverActive Media has joined Video Game Live Expo (VGLX) as an Official Platinum Partner ahead of this year’s event, which will take place on October 24 and 25 at the International Centre in Mississauga.
The company is specifically teaming up with VGLX to showcase their Call of Duty team Toronto KOI which means fans will get their first look at the organisation’s new 2026-2027 Call of Duty roster, along with a preview of the team’s upcoming jersey.
Apart from the OverActive Media partnership, the 2026 edition of VGLX is putting a major spotlight on esports, with new tournaments, international competition, and live team reveals planned across the two-day gaming event.
One of the biggest additions this year is Electric Clash, an official Challenger Event for the TEKKEN World Tour 2026. The tournament will bring in TEKKEN players from around the world, including competitors from South Korea and the United Kingdom.
Tournament operations for TEKKEN 8 and other esports titles will be organised by Incendium Gaming which is a Canadian esports tournament organiser and event production company specialised in the Fighting Game Community (FGC).
Neil Duffy, Chief Commercial Officer at OverActive Media, said in a public statement, “The introduction of Toronto KOI’s Call of Duty roster and the unveiling of our 2027 jersey mark an important moment for OverActive Media and our fans. We’re proud to partner with VGLX to bring this experience to the main stage at Canada’s premier gaming event. Bringing communities together around gaming, esports, -, and fandom culture is at the core of what we do, and VGLX shares that mission too.”
Alongside esports competitions, VGLX 2026 will feature playable AAA game releases, cosplay showcases, creator meet-and-greets, board games, trading card activities, and indie game demos. The event will also include a dedicated Creator Lounge where fans can meet content creators, voice actors, and online personalities.
VGLX is organised by VGLX Shows Inc. and Canada Super Collectibles, with advisory support from XP Gaming. Other confirmed partners of the event include Behaviour Interactive, the Canadian Game Awards, and Interactive Ontario.
