BLAST and Ubisoft have officially announced that the next major international Rainbow Six Siege tournament will take place in Osaka, Japan later this year.

Called the BLAST R6 Major Osaka 2026, the event was announced on May 18, 2026, and is set to run from November 6 to 15. The tournament will be held at ATC Hall in Osaka, a venue located near popular attractions like Universal Studios Japan and the Kaiyukan Aquarium and it will feature 20 teams from around the world competing for a total prize pool of $600,000 USD.

The Osaka Major is seen as a major moment for the Japanese and wider APAC Rainbow Six Siege scene. It will be the first top-level international Rainbow Six Siege LAN event in Japan, and the APAC region overall, in around seven years since the Pro League Season 10 Finals were held in Tokoname, Aichi in November 2019.

The event is part of the 2026/27 competitive season under the renewed partnership between BLAST and Ubisoft, which was extended through the 2028/29 season earlier this year. The global season includes several major international events. Alongside the Osaka Major, the calendar also features the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City, which took place in May 2026 in the United States, and the Six Invitational 2027 in Brazil next February.

According to the current tournament format, 16 teams will first compete in a Swiss Stage, with the top eight teams moving on to the playoffs. The playoffs will use a double-elimination bracket, with most matches played as best-of-three series and the Grand Final played as a best-of-five.

Qualification details for the Osaka Major are still being finalised. Teams are expected to qualify through regional leagues across Europe/MENA, North America, South America, APAC, Japan, and China. Tickets for the event will go on presale from June 8, 2026 and fans can register for updates and ticket notifications through Ubisoft’s official esports page using their Ubisoft accounts.
