G2 Esports has unveiled a rebrand of its Call of Duty League (CDL) franchise, dropping the ‘Rokkr‘ moniker in favour of G2 Minnesota.
The move is expected since early September 2025 after a filing by G2 at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
The announcement was preceded by a social media post that trolled fans with a fake reveal, teasing a relocation to ‘Berlin, Wisconsin’ under the name G2 Berlin. The organisation quickly followed this with the confirmation of the G2 Minnesota name and a revamped logo.
This rebrand is part of a wider trend of identity changes within the Call of Duty League. Recently, Atlanta FaZe relocated to Las Vegas and rebranded as FaZe Vegas, filling the spot vacated by the Vegas Falcons, which moved to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The 2026 CDL season will consequently feature several new franchise names, including the Riyadh Falcons.

Unlike other franchises that have chosen to relocate, G2 has opted to remain in Minnesota, a location it has operated from since the franchise’s inception in the CDL in 2019. In its social media channels, G2 Minnesota displays Logitech G, monitor brand AGON by AOC, and gaming furniture brand Herman Miller as official sponsors.
