The Call of Duty League (CDL) is proceeding with its ongoing strategy to expand the league’s international presence, with CDL Major II scheduled for DreamHack Birmingham from March 27-29, and the CDL Major IV for Paris from June 25-28, 2026. The events will introduce new competitive formats and follow a series of global structural changes within the CDL, moving beyond its traditionally North American-centric event locations.
The confirmation of the events’ locations follows a September 2025 report by Grant Taylor-Hill at Insider Gaming, which initially rumoured that CDL Majors were planned for the UK and Paris in 2026. In a second report, Hill also pointed to a possible Dota 2 Major also being held in Birmingham, which has not been confirmed yet.

This move to host major CDL events in the UK and France aligns with a broader trend of the league cultivating a more global profile. Recent seasons have seen significant franchise movements, including the high-profile relocation of a franchise from Las Vegas to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Birmingham Major therefore represents another deliberate step in making the Call of Duty League appear less exclusive to North America, engaging directly with its European fanbase.
The United States, however, still got its own event, with the CDL Major III happening in Atlanta, Georgia.
