Como 1907, the Italian professional football club, has officially launched the Como Gaming Club, which is a new project that brings gaming into the world of the football team.

The club says this is not just an esports department. Instead, it is a creative space for fans, families, young people and content creators to connect through gaming and culture.

The first big step is the signing of Anders Vejrgang, one of the most well-known young players in the EA SPORTS FC competitive scene. He will represent Como 1907 in the EA SPORTS FC eSupercup 2025 and the eSerie A Goleador 2026.

As a part of this deal, he will wear special new colors and a logo created for the gaming project. The club has also confirmed that fans will be able to meet him at Milan Games Week, where Como 1907 will be active at the DNSTY stand and other event activities.

The official announcement also confirms the Como Gaming Club will run community events, partner with creators and launch new visual content inspired by Lake Como. The club will also debut its first merchandise line at Milan Games Week, including a hat, t-shirt, sweatshirt and a gaming jersey made in collaboration with Team Falcons, current Esports World Cup champions.

Ryan Shelton, Chief Revenue Officer of Como 1907, said the club wants to reach new generations. “Gaming and eSports are their own culture and language. If we were going to enter that world, we had to do it with intention, a clear identity and a long-term vision. Bringing Anders on board shows the level of care and seriousness we are putting behind this project. This isn’t a side quest. It’s a community we’re committed to building.”

On the global stage, football gaming is also leveling up. In Brazil, the football federation is bringing back the eBrasileirão in 2025, and this time it will feature eFootball and Rocket League. And over in international competition, FIFA has confirmed the FIFAe Finals will be back in 2025 and 2026, renewing its partnership with the Saudi Esports Federation
