The Madden Championship Series (MCS) will conclude its latest season with a live finals event in San Francisco, capitalising on the global reach of the Super Bowl. The Madden Bowl finals, featuring a $1 million prize pool, are a central part of EA Sports‘ integrated activities planned for Super Bowl LX week, set for 8 February, 2026, also in San Francisco.
The MCS finals will see the best Madden NFL 26 players compete live. The semifinals and finals will be broadcast on the official EA Sports Madden NFL Twitch and YouTube channels. This event is one component of a broader presence from EA Sports throughout the week, which includes media events, community initiatives, and the return of the fan-facing Madden Bowl event in partnership with payments company Visa.

This season’s finals represent the culmination of MCS 26, which was announced in August with a total $1.5 million prize pool across its competitive circuit. The series followed a four-event pathway—Kickoff, Most Feared, Zero Chill, and a Last Chance Qualifier—designed to build narrative momentum alongside the NFL season.
The integration of the MCS finals into Super Bowl week activities highlights EA Sports’ strategy of using esports as a marketing and audience-engagement driver. The company has previously framed its approach as part of a wider industry resurgence, referring to an “esports spring.” Furthermore, the series incorporates direct incentives for both players and viewers, with competitors earning Madden Ultimate Team (MUT) packs for participation and viewers able to obtain in-game items by watching the official broadcasts.
By situating its premier competitive climax within one of the world’s largest sporting events, EA Sports aims to maximise visibility for the Madden Championship Series, reinforcing its position within both the esports and mainstream sports entertainment landscapes.
