Following the official reveal of Halo Fest 2026 from Halo Studios, the studio is teaming up with ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) to bring a series of off-season events to life, starting with the DreamHack Open Birmingham featuring Halo.
With the Halo Championship Series for Halo Infinite wrapping up, this new event will keep the competitive spirit alive with grassroots open-bracket tournaments covering multiple Halo titles. Across the three-day weekend, fans can expect a mix of 4v4s, 2v2s, and classic free-for-all showdowns with online qualifiers for the 4v4 open series leading up to the big event.

Adam Apicella from ESL FACEIT Group said in an official statement that “We’re very excited to be continuing the legacy of Halo at DreamHack Birmingham next Spring. Halo has a special place in gaming and esports history, and this program, alongside the 25th Anniversary of Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo Fest, will make 2026 an incredibly memorable year for fans.”
Tahir “Tashi” Hasandjekaj, Director of Competitive Engagement at Halo Studios, added, “Halo has been part of DreamHack for nearly a decade now and has always delivered an unforgettable experience for the Halo community. We’re thankful for our close partners for supporting the grassroots scene, and we’re delighted to contribute prize money and player travel as we celebrate 25 years of this amazing franchise.”
DreamHack isn’t new to the Halo world, having hosted tournaments for Halo 5, MCC Pro Series, and the Halo Championship Series in the past. This latest chapter continues that legacy by offering players the chance to compete, connect, and celebrate the game that started it all.
Alongside the new series of Halo tournaments, the city will also host DreamHack and ESL One Birmingham 2026 to bring two of the world’s biggest gaming events under one roof next March. Tickets for the event are already on sale on DreamHack’s official website.
