The ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) has entered into a multi-year agreement with esports data and technology provider GRID, granting the latter exclusive worldwide rights to distribute official data from the company’s major Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) and Dota 2 competitions.

The arrangement begins with IEM Cologne and covers prominent tournaments including Intel Extreme Masters, ESL Pro League and ESL One. Under the deal, GRID will serve as EFG’s sole data distribution, infrastructure and integrity partner, supplying live in-game data for broadcast, media and betting applications.

In addition to statistical feeds, GRID will provide audiovisual content and data-driven visualisations aimed at enhancing audience engagement. Both companies have stated that the partnership is intended to improve the speed, accuracy and reliability of esports data delivery, while supporting innovation in fan experiences and commercial opportunities.

Moritz Maurer, CEO and founder of GRID, said the partnership reflected a shared focus on quality and innovation: “EFG has defined esports in CS2 and Dota 2 over the last two decades, and we are proud to enter into this ecosystem as an exclusive data partner.”

Georg Brandes, Senior Director of Media Rights & Distribution at EFG, added that GRID’s “integrity-driven approach” and technical expertise made them an ideal choice for the role.

The partnership launches alongside IEM Cologne, a Counter-Strike tournament with a prize pool of $1,25 million. The 2024 edition drew over one million peak concurrent viewers and generated 25.5 million hours of watch time. From today, GRID clients will have access to live data feeds from the event.

GRID also works with other major esports production companies such as Riot Games and recently announced a partnership with the Esports World Cup, which is handled by EFG.
