The Mobile, Esports and Gaming Alliance (MEGA), the company behind Esports Awards, announced the appointment of Patrick Collins as Vice President of Growth.

In this role, Collins will oversee MEGA’s growth strategy, focusing on new business development and scaling the commercial footprint of its flagship properties. The appointment comes as the organisation seeks to accelerate its expansion and diversify its revenue streams within the global esports and gaming ecosystem.

Collins brings over 18 years of experience in commercial strategy and partnerships across sports, gaming, and technology. His background includes a period as the commercial lead for Excel Esports, securing deals with brands such as Sony, HyperX, Chupa Chups, and JD Sports. In 2022, he founded Leapfox, a boutique agency focused on commercial advisory and emerging technologies like AI, which he will continue to leverage in his new capacity at MEGA.

The move signals a reinforced commercial push for MEGA, which has previously collaborated with global brands such as Coca-Cola, Samsung, and Oakley. By bringing in a veteran with deep roots in both traditional sports marketing and endemic esports partnerships, the alliance aims to bridge the gap between mainstream brand investment and the evolving digital entertainment landscape.

Recently, Esports Awards confirmed that its 11th annual ceremony will take place in North America later this year.
