The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has announced that more than 100,000 tickets have been sold for the 2025 edition of the Esports World Cup (EWC), surpassing a milestone that was not achieved until the midway point of last year’s event.

The update was shared by EWCF Chief Commercial Officer Mohammad Al Nimer via LinkedIn, who described the early momentum as “undeniable” and highlighted the sold-out status of multiple headline events during the opening week of the tournament.

Among the fixtures reaching full capacity were the Opening Ceremony, which featured superstars such as Post Malone, the VALORANT Grand Final, the Apex Legends finals, and the Fatal Fury: City of Wolves finals. In addition, all festival venues have reportedly been sold out since the first day of the event.

Al Nimer credited the atmosphere surrounding the competition, noting the high energy levels, strong production quality, and intense gameplay witnessed so far. “Every corner is buzzing. The competition is fierce. The production is world-class. And the energy? Unmatched,” he wrote.

The EWC 2025 continues in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with further competitions and activations planned across the coming weeks until 24 August.
