Global esports organisation Team Liquid and Malta-based school esports provider DAIGON Esports have announced a new educational partnership in the United States by partnering to launch after-school clubs across US elementary and middle schools.

The primary education initiative, titled the Team Liquid Esports After-School Club powered by DAIGON, will roll out through US school districts and after-school providers, commencing with a pilot across four California middle schools. The programme operates inside Minecraft Education Edition on existing school hardware, eliminating the capital requirements of dedicated hardware labs. DAIGON supplies the software platform, gamified curriculum, and technical infrastructure, while Team Liquid leads US brand licensing, marketing, customer relationships, and commercial sales.

Coinciding with the announcement, DAIGON opened a $2m seed funding round to accelerate its North American expansion. The company was also named the K–12 Innovation category winner at the Shark Tanks at EdTech Week in New York.

Commenting on the initiative, Elliot Mack, Co-founder and CEO of DAIGON Esports, stated: “Every student deserves a place to belong and a chance to build skills through something they love. A school should not need a gaming lab or a specialist coach to offer that. With Team Liquid, our ambition is to make esports accessible to every school, so more children can discover what they are capable of — inside the game and beyond it.”

Isik Aysev, Senior Vice President of Commercial at Team Liquid, added: “We want more students to experience esports and the skills that make great teams. DAIGON understands what schools need to make that possible: a program staff that can deliver, technology that fits the school environment, and a clear purpose beyond playing the game.”

At the higher education level, Team Liquid has established a four-year agreement with Grand View University. The partnership encompasses co-branded team apparel and jersey designs set to launch for the 2027–28 academic year, joint event programming, student shadow opportunities across Team Liquid’s broadcast and event operations, and facility visits. A key early focus will be integrating Team Liquid staff and operational resources into Grand View’s 2027 summer esports camps. The deal builds upon Grand View’s established varsity esports programme, competing across titles including League of Legends, VALORANT, and Rocket League, and expands Team Liquid’s existing collegiate portfolio, which previously included a development partnership with Lawrence Technological University.
