ExpressVPN has formalised a series of expansive multiyear partnerships across the global esports landscape, securing its position as an official partner for Riot Games, G2 Esports, and Method.
The agreements include a renewal of the brand’s existing collaboration with the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC), alongside new exclusive entries into the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) EMEA and Americas circuits.
As part of the multiyear deal, the ExpressVPN logo will be featured on Method’s official player jerseys, and the brand will receive consistent visibility across major regional broadcasts, including a dedicated presence on the LEC podcast.
However, rather than limiting itself to sponsorship slots, ExpressVPN is embedding its technology into the “essential stack” of esports. The core speech for the partnerships focuses on the technical requirements of high-stakes play.
ExpressVPN is then promoting its proprietary “Lightway” protocol and global server network spanning 105 countries, designed to mitigate latency—a critical variable in competitive gaming. For teams and creators, the partnership aims to provide a layer of security against network instability and DDoS threats during live events.
Beyond professional rosters, the brand is launching a new social hub, @ExpressVPN_Gaming, designed to facilitate dialogue with the wider community. Fans can expect a year-long programme of incentives, including “exclusive drops” and promotions for rare in-game rewards across the partnered titles.
In a press release, Zac Eller, GM of Global Partnerships at ExpressVPN, commented “The organisations we’re partnering with work with the best players and biggest communities in gaming, and they chose ExpressVPN because we care about the same things gamers care about — staying connected, staying stable and keeping the game smooth. Our goal is to make ExpressVPN a natural part of how people play.”
“We’re excited to extend our LEC partnership with ExpressVPN and build on it further with a new partnership with VCT EMEA and VCT Americas. For us, esports is about more than just competition. It is a culture shaped by community and connection. ExpressVPN shares this mindset and is investing in the environments that matter most to our players and fans,” stated Charlie Allen, EMEA Director of Commercial Partnerships at Riot Games.
Sabrina Ratih, COO at G2 Esports, also commented on the new partnership: “We’re always looking to partner with brands that share our commitment to performance at the highest level. ExpressVPN is a natural fit for us; they operate in a space where speed, security, and reliability are essential. Our players compete on milliseconds, and our fans live online, so this partnership is about empowering both with a safer, faster, and more secure digital experience.”
For Liam Whitehead, Head of Partnerships at Method, which secured a number of new deals for the organisation in the last months, “this partnership marks a meaningful shift in how Method and our community approach online security and privacy. With ExpressVPN’s best-in-class range of tools, we’re better equipped than ever to help our players, creators, and fans stay protected online.”
