The Esports Foundation (EF) has announced a new media partnership with the national public television broadcaster of France, France Télévisions, to bring daily coverage of the Esports World Cup 2026 (EWC).

The agreement comes as Paris prepares to host the first international edition of the tournament from July 6 to August 23, 2026. Under the partnership, France Télévisions will provide exclusive daily coverage of the competition. Beginning July 7, the broadcaster will air “La Minute EWC”, a daily highlights program running for seven weeks.

The show will be broadcast every day at 9:00 p.m. on France 4 and later at night on France 2, while also being available on the france.tv streaming platform. Match highlights and tournament content will also be shared across the broadcaster’s social media channels.

The partnership was arranged by N.E.O. (New Esports Org.), the European esports promoter founded by Bertrand Amar and Matthieu Dallon, which will also oversee the production of the daily program.

Mohammed Al Nimer, Chief Commercial Officer at the Esports Foundation, said, “France is one of the countries that helped shape modern esports. Its fans have filled arenas, built some of the world’s most passionate communities, and supported Clubs and players who have left a lasting mark on our sport. Bringing the Esports World Cup to Paris means bringing it to one of esports’ true homes. Through France Télévisions, audiences across the country will be able to follow the stories, rivalries and defining moments of EWC every day on national television. Our ambition is to help esports become one of the world’s biggest sports, and that starts by making its greatest moments accessible to everyone.”

The Esports World Cup 2026 isn’t France Télévisions’ first venture into esports, as the broadcaster has been covering major competitive gaming events for several years. These include the La Banque Postale Coupe de France de League of Legends, where it has served as a multi-year exclusive streaming partner, broadcasting the early stages, semi-finals, and finals on France TV Slash and Twitch.

France Télévisions also aired Aux Jeux Streamers!, a hybrid event featuring leading French internet creators, television personalities, and Olympic athletes competing in virtual sports ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, with coverage available on France.tv and Twitch.

As the Esports World Cup 2026 draws closer, the Esports Foundation has been rolling out a string of major updates. Along with naming France Télévisions as its latest media partner, it recently revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo will once again serve as the tournament’s global brand ambassador. The organisation also partnered with France’s Ministère des Sports, de la Jeunesse et de la Vie associative (Ministry of Sport, Youth and Community Life) and extended its commercial partnership with gaming chair maker Secretlab.
