GameSquare has renewed and expanded its partnership with Riot Games, continuing a relationship that began in 2019. The latest annual renewal extends GameSquare’s role in supporting Riot’s global esports operations through its subsidiaries, Stream Hatchet and Sideqik.
Under the renewed partnership, Stream Hatchet, rebranded from Click Management, and Sideqik will continue providing Riot Games with real-time insights into livestream viewership, audience trends, creator performance, and influencer campaigns.
The tools also support league reporting, event scheduling, creator discovery, campaign tracking, and consulting services. By combining esports analytics with influencer marketing capabilities, Riot can access a broader view of audience behavior across gaming, livestreaming, esports, and social media platforms.
Riot Games uses these insights to help manage its global esports ecosystem, including the League of Legends Esports circuit and the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT). According to GameSquare, Riot relies on the platforms to monitor audience trends across more than 70 esports leagues and over 130 live esports events each year.
The data helps Riot make informed decisions around tournament scheduling, event formats, and fan engagement while also supporting creator marketing strategies designed to grow its esports audience.
Although the companies have renewed the agreement annually, neither party has disclosed a fixed contract length or financial terms. No details regarding the value of the deal, revenue sharing, or commercial commitments have been made public.
Eduard Montserrat, CEO of Stream Hatchet, said in an official statement, “Our relationship with Riot Games is a powerful example of how GameSquare’s platform can grow with leading publishers as their needs evolve across esports, creator marketing and influencer strategy. What began as a longstanding esports reporting partnership through Stream Hatchet has expanded into a broader relationship that supports Riot’s influencer teams with the full suite of Stream Hatchet and Sideqik tools.”
The Riot Games renewal is just one of several recent announcements from GameSquare. A few days back, the company partnered with the U.S. Army Installation Management Command to produce Soldier Showdown 8 (SS8). A couple of months before that, it also bought back nearly $1 million worth of its own shares, making another notable business move.
