As per the official announcement, the thirteen institutions include Conestoga College, Augustana University, Buena Vista University, Illinois College, Manchester University, Seton Hall University, Shenandoah University, Syracuse University, St. Thomas University, the University of Kansas, Maharishi International University, Randolph-Macon College, and the University of Hawai’i.

Arnold Hur, CEO of Gen.G, stated, “This is our most ambitious program since the launch of our Gen.G Practicum Abroad program, bringing together some of the best universities in the country to expand their educational programs on campus. The students will be fully immersed in Korea with hands-on experiences to give them a 360-degree view of the esports industry.”

According to Gen.G, the students participating in this program will get direct exposure to the professional esports environment in Seoul as they attend lectures, receive guidance from industry professionals, and visit gaming organisations and studios to learn about the sector’s operations.

It’s worth noting that this program will be directly handled by Gen.G staff, who will make sure to hand over sessions on the business, management, and cultural side of competitive gaming. High school students who are looking for an esports program at a university or college, or to explore Korea at Gen.G’s HQ, can check out all the details at the company’s official website.

Gen.G also recently closed a collaboration with Burger King and announced a partnership with Korean food brand OTOKI ahead of Worlds 2025, expanding its brand presence across different sectors.
