Tech brand Infinix has announced a major partnership with Garena, securing its position as the official sponsor of the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Brazil for the 2026 and 2027 seasons. The deal establishes the Infinix GT Series as the official competitive device for the league.

The collaboration extends far beyond the tournament broadcast. Infinix and Garena have entered a comprehensive brand licensing agreement covering key Latin American markets, including Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Chile, and Argentina. This allows Infinix to develop and launch customized Free Fire smartphones, directly targeting the region’s millions of active daily players.

The partnership focuses on accessibility and community engagement, moving beyond the pro stage to include the Infinix Hot Series for fan-led activations. Infinix plans to host masterclasses, fan tournaments, and co-branded marketing campaigns to deepen its connection with the LATAM gaming culture.

Global Esports Industry Week (GEIW) will return in 2026 with a bigger and bolder edition, taking place across 18–21 June in Cologne, Germany, alongside IEM Cologne. The schedule and details about ticket sales are available in this link.

The deal signals a major push by the brand to disrupt the established hierarchy of the regional smartphone market. Historically dominated by giants like Samsung, Motorola, and Xiaomi, the Brazilian mobile landscape is seeing a tactical shift as Infinix targets the high-engagement gaming demographic.

By securing a two-year commitment and licensing rights for custom devices, Infinix is moving beyond simple sponsorship into a long-term infrastructure role. This “high-performance for the masses” strategy—leveraging the GT Series to provide tournament-grade hardware at accessible price points—is a direct play to capture a larger share of the entry-to-mid-level segment, where Free Fire remains a cultural and competitive powerhouse.

Tony Zhao, CEO of Infinix, commented on the expansion: “The community of Free Fire in Latin America is among the most passionate in the world. By bringing the proven track record of the GT Series to esports here, we want to empower more players to pursue their dreams and expand the limits of mobile gaming.”

This announcement reinforces Infinix as a primary hardware driver in the mobile sector. The company recently served as the official device partner for the 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC). It joins chocolate brand Snickers as a primary supporter of the region’s competitive Free Fire ecosystem.
